Giving is an expression of love. We have all heard preaching where we are told to give to God, to give
abundantly, that the more you give; the more God will bless you. That when you give big money, God will
double the money back to you. Do you think God is a money doubler? What make you believe that God wants
your money? Did God kick you out of the Garden of Eden to go labor and sweat so that you can turn around,
and empty your wallet to Him? When Jesus was asked, âShould we pay taxes to Caesar or not?â What did
Jesus say? Let me remind you. He said, âShow me a coin.â They showed him a coin. He asked, âWhose
inscription is on that coin?â They said, âCaesar.â He said, âGive to Caesar what is Caesarâs and to
God what is Godâs.â
When the rich guy asked Jesus about what he needed to do to be saved, did Jesus tell him to sell all he
had and give him the money? No. He told him to sell all he had and give to the poor and come follow Him.
Do you pay taxes to Uncle Sam? What does Uncle Sam do with your tax payments? Uncle Sam uses it to hire
police to protect you from bad guys, uses your tax payment to help provide welfare to those who are not
as well off as you are, build roads so that we can drive our cars, provides the military to protect us
against foreign harm, and more. So does God need your money? No, God does not, preachers do.
The devil is a foreigner trying to invade the Children of God. Honest preachers need your money to help
deliver people into the Salvation of Christ to protect them from the Devilâs harm just as Uncle Sam uses
your tax money to keep a military to protect you from foreign harm. Unfortunately, some preachers need
your money to further their own egotistical objectives.
Some preachers tell you to give till
it hurts your bank account. Why should you give and starve? God wants you to take care of yourself and
family while keeping in mind that there are others who are not as fortunate as you are. When you give
to help others whether through a preacher or directly to a person in need, you are doing a Godly act,
for itâs written âFor whatsoever you do to the least my brethren that you do unto me.â So when you
support us or other honest men of God with your donation, you are expressing your love for the work
of Christ, and when we use your donation to spread the Good News of Christ, we are doing it together
because your gift represents you. When we use your gift to feed the hungry, you are feeding the hungry
because your donation represents you.
So when you give to this ministry, you are giving to the Philip Jegede Evangelical Association to help
spread the Good News of Christ and lead the unsaved to salvation. Because you donât want your fellow
human beings to go hell, starve, or become destitute, you are thereby fulfilling the commandment of
Christ when He said, âLove one another.â You only express love by caring. Your donation is an expression
of love. We need your help more than ever. The devil is working overtime. We need your help. Whatever
you can give, please express your love, and let God decide when, and how to bless you for your gifts,
compassion, caring, and good deeds.
